MISIN Lean Moodle

MISIN Educational Website

MISIN Learn is built using the Moodle LMS (Learning Management System) and was developed to build upon the invasive species training modules that have been available on the MISIN website. With MISIN Learn, you now have the ability to keep track of the training modules you have completed along with a record of your quiz scores. You can also earn badges and receive certificates for completing specific training modules. The MISIN Learn platform opens the door to new invasive species training opportunities and resources to assist both experts and citizen scientists in the detection and identification of invasive species.

Midwest Invasive Species Information Network (MISIN)

The Midwest Invasive Species Information Network (MISIN) is a regional data aggregation effort to develop and provide an early detection and response (EDR) resource for invasive species in the Midwest region of the United States. This effort is led by researchers with the Michigan State University Department of Entomology Laboratory for Applied Spatial Ecology and Technical Services in conjunction with a growing consortium of supporting partners. The goal of this regional resource is to assist both experts and citizen scientists in the detection and identification of invasive species. Data collected will allow for the development and implementation of effective control strategies in the region. Those individuals interested in participating in this invasive species information cooperative are encouraged to contact the MISIN project leaders.
