Lyme Grass

Stout, perennial that is a member of the Grass (Poaceae) family. It can invade beaches, dunes and other sites with sandy soils. It stabilizes dunes and eliminates the shifting sands that are home to rare species such as Pitcher's thistle (Cirsium pitcheri).

Phragmites (Invasive)

Stout, warm-season perennial that is a member of the Grass (Poaceae) family. This species has been listed as a restricted species under Michigan law. It is a stout, warm-season perennial grass that forms dense, impenetrable stands.

Rough Mannagrass

Herbaceous, semi-aquatic, rhizomatous, perennial that is a member of the Grass (Poaceae) family. Can be distinguished from similar natives by its height as it grows up to 2.5 m (8 ft) tall.
