Similar species:

Prairie Junegrass (Koeleria macrantha) is a native sand grass that forms tufted clumps with round stems. Its leaves are narrow and much shorter than its flowering stalk, the opposite of the sedge, whose stiff leaves are about as tall as or taller than the stems [1].
